The Jean Runyon Little Theatre, renovated and named for Jean Runyon, who donated so much to the Theatre community in Sacramento, was the home of JayRob Theatre during its third, fourth and fifth seasons. Jean Runyon and/or her husband, Mercer Runyon were in five JayRob productions during that time span.

In addition to its regular Friday/Saturday night comedies, the theatre was the venue for JayRob’s first musical, “The Boy Friend,” which had a fourteen-week Sunday night performance run, considered at the time the longest-running musical play in Sacramento history.

The photos below come from the Sacramento Convention Center website,

which states the theatre is available for rent for various groups and/or performances.

The photos are identified (from Left to Right) as: Back of House, Historic Seats, View from Stage, and View of Balcony.

Please notice the round protuberances below each seat in the second photo, “Historic Seats.”
